The Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship (CUMRC) is pleased to announce that Raymond James Ltd. will return for its fourth consecutive year as Title Sponsor of the McTavish Cup championship.

The 2025 Championship will be hosted by École de technologie supérieure – ÉTS Montréal from November 12 to 16, 2025, bringing together eight university men’s rugby teams from across Canada to compete for the national title.

“As the CUMRC continues to grow and attract more young athletes to the sport, we’re thrilled to have the steadfast support of Raymond James,” said Maria Samson, CUMRC Board Chair. “Their ongoing commitment to university rugby in Canada is a testament to the shared values of teamwork, resilience, and ambition that rugby instills. Together, we are helping to build a stronger future for Canadian rugby.”

“We are proud to once again be the Title Sponsor of the CUMRC,” said Dave Lougheed. “We believe in the power of sport to build leadership, teamwork, and resilience, and we are honoured to support an event that showcases the talent and dedication of Canada’s university athletes.”

Founded in 2017, the CUMRC was created to fill the gap in national-level competition for university men’s rugby, with representation from all parts of Canada. The championship supports the growth of the sport by increasing student-athlete participation, expanding the number of competitive programs, and driving audience engagement.
